China Eastern Airline

One of the China’s largest commercial aviation carrier, China Eastern Airline (CEA) was founded in 1988. Its headquarters is situated in Shanghai and has hubs at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (SHA) and Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG).

In 2018, CEA unveiled a new ‘Brand Lounge’ within its modern headquarters at Shanghai Hongqiao Airport. With a new brand lounge facilities CEA showcasing its history, VIPs and corporate partners, the space also uses advanced presentation technologies to highlight corporate information, experiential visualizations and even real-time flight data that can be enjoyed by guests wearing Augmented Reality (AR) headsets.

China Eastern has an online check-in service for all passengers holding an E-ticket. Only adults with no special requirements can check-in online.

Passengers who need to check-in luggage or who have lost their boarding pass can go to the airport's online check-in counter to have the luggage checked in or to get a new boarding pass.

The amount of free checked allowance on all China Eastern Airlines flights depends on the weight and dimensions of the baggage along with the class of cabins.

For regional and domestic flights, First class passengers can check-in up to 40 kg of baggage. The maximum weight allowed for Business and Economy class passengers is 30 kg and 20 kg respectively.

China Eastern airlines offer Eastern miles program for the frequent flyer. Eastern Miles members can earn miles on flights as well as through consumption with China Eastern's credit card.
