Bangalore is the third largest city by population in India, as well as the capital city of the Indian state of Karnataka. It has been called the "Garden City" because of how beautiful parts of the city are. The city has become one of the most important industrial cities in India, with businesses in the aerospace, telecommunications, and defense industries in the city.

Cricket is the most popular sport in Bangalore. The M. Chinnaswamy Stadium is the largest cricket stadium in the city and can seat up to 55,000 people. Football is also very popular in Bangalore and the local team Royal Challengers compete in the Indian Premiere League.

The city is serviced by Bengaluru International Airport. Air Deccan and Kingfisher Airlines are based out of Bangalore.
