The Place des Arts is a series of theatre halls and concert halls around a large square in the eastern part of downtown Montreal. It is here that the Montreal Symphony Orchestra performs as well as the Musici de Montreal.

The Montreal Canadiens compete in the NHL against teams from the United States. The city of Montreal used to be home to the Expos baseball team of the MLB, but in 2005 the team relocated to Washington DC and changed their name to the Nationals.
