Opened in 1994, Colorado Springs Airport or officially called the City of Colorado Springs Municipal Airport is a civil-military airport serving Colorado Springs, Colorado. The airport is located 12 miles of downtown Colorado Springs, El Paso County, Colorado. It takes about 20 minutes to travel to downtown Colorado Springs from the airport.
It has three-levels, spread across an area of 2, 75,000 square foot with 12 gate terminals. The airport airfield is situated on 7,200 acres with two parallel runways. It is owned and operated by the City of Colorado Springs and in 2018 it served more than 1,725,037 passengers.
