Wilmington is a city that is located in the southeastern corner of the US state of North Carolina. Summer temperatures can reach into the 90's Fahrenheit from time to time but winter temperatures rarely dip below 40. Rainfall occurs year round, but it occurs most heavily during the summer months of June through August. Thunderstorms can be severe from time to time.

The Wilmington International Airport is the closest airport to downtown Wilmington. It offers connecting flights to larger airports on Allegiant Air, Delta Air Lines, and US Airways. Delta Air Lines connects to Atlanta, Georgia to the south.
