Yuma is a city that is located in the US state of Arizona. Arizona is located in the southwestern region of the continental United States. It was originally owned by Mexico but was granted to the United States following the Mexican-American War. Arizona is bordered to the west by the states of California and Nevada, to the north by the state of Utah, to the east by the state of New Mexico, and to the south by the US Mexico border.

Phoenix is the capital and largest city in Arizona. Yuma is a growing city and a vital part of the local economy. English is the official language of Yuma, although a growing percentage of the population also speaks Spanish.

Arizona has seen a significant increase in the number of visitors and new residents lately. The favorable climate and low cost of housing have attracted many new residents. The state is also home to one of the largest national parks, the Grand Canyon National Park, which attracts thousands of visitors each year. The state is home to several sports teams such as the Phoenix Coyotes, Arizona Diamondbacks, Phoenix Suns, and the Arizona Cardinals.

Yuma has an arid climate, which means warm to hot temperatures year round. Summer temperatures can climb into the 90's Fahrenheit, while winter temperatures stay mild and rarely dip into the freezing range. Rainfall is very rare in Yuma and only falls in significant quantities during the months of January and February.

There are several large airports in the state of Arizona. Some of the largest are Sky Harbor Phoenix International Airport, Tucson International Airport and Yuma International Airport.
