Make your special requests when booking the reservation. Letting them know any special needs up front, helps to give them time to make you happy. Most hotels have nonsmoking rooms. Request one in advance and ask for a confirmation. Many properties can honor a request for a room located in a certain area of the hotel (lower floor, view, away from elevators etc.) Most have added business suites specifically suited for business travelers. Often hotels will childproof your room before arrival.

Additionally, you can qualify for further discounts, upgrades or special deals, within that chain.. Many properties offer special executive level floors of upgraded rooms for their club members. A membership will probably allow you to skip lines and reduce check-in and checkout times.
